Roundup: Pahrump Valley’s Bryce Odegard wins Sunset race

Bryce Odegard from Pahrump Valley’s boys cross country team completed the 3-mile race at Floyd Lamb Park on Saturday in 15 minutes, 36 seconds to win the Red Rock Invitational Sunset Meet.

Arbor View had three Aggies finish in the top six spots, including Keith Williams in second place (15:47) to win the team meet with 36 points. Clark was second with 72 points, and Centennial placed third with 80 points.

Alex Miller from Centennial finished third overall (15:51), followed by Clark’s Liam Jones (16:07) and Arbor View’s Ian Jackson (16:18).

Green Valley edges Coronado

Green Valley had three of the top four finishers to win score 31 team points and win the 3-mile Red Rock Invitational Sunrise Meet at Floyd Lamb Park.

Milton Amezcua won the meet for the Gators in 15:37. His teammates, Martin Nelson (16:29) and Jesus Narciso (16:36), finished third and fourth, respectively.

Tom Dougherty placed second with a time 16:25 for Coronado, which came in second with 40 team points. Liberty was third with 85 points.
