Here is a recap of every team that won a state title during the 2016 fall sports season and will be looking to defend this upcoming season.

Class 4A: Bishop Gorman def. Liberty, 84-8.

Class 3A: Desert Pines def. Spring Creek, 39-6.

Class 2A: Pershing County def. Yerington, 14-7.

Class 1A: Spring Mountain def. Pahranagat Valley, 68-46.

BOYS SOCCER

Class 4A: Galena def. Coronado, 2-1.

Class 3A: Sparks def. Western, 2-0.

GIRLS SOCCER

Class 4A: Arbor View def. Palo Verde, 4-1.

Class 3A: Truckee def. Western, 3-0.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Class 4A: Bishop Gorman def. Reno, 3-1.

Class 3A: Truckee def. Moapa Valley, 3-2.

Class 2A: Calvary Chapel def. Yerington, 3-1.

Class 1A: Pahranagat Valley def. Owyhee, 3-0.

GIRLS GOLF

Class 4A: Coronado def. Bishop Gorman, 615-678.

*Coronado’s Victoria Estrada won the individual title by five strokes over teammate Ashley Lung and Palo Verde’s Annick Haczkiewicz.

Class 3A: Elko def. Boulder City, 752-770.

*Boulder City’s Lani Potter won the individual title by 20 strokes over Elko’s Annika Criss.

Class 2A/1A: Incline def. Sierra Lutheran, 872-956.

*Round Mountain was Southern Nevada’s top finisher in sixth place.

*Incline’s Kennedy Cohnn won the individual title by five strokes over teammate Christine Schwartz.

*Mountain View’s Kristine Horita was Southern Nevada’s top finisher in fifth place.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Class 4A: Spanish Springs def. Green Valley, 49-88.

*Reed’s Anthony Ocegueda was the individual champion.

Class 3A: Spring Creek def. Elko, 38-68.

*Tech was Southern Nevada’s top finisher in third place with 81 points.

*Pahrump Valley’s Bryce Odegard was the individual champion.

Class 2A/1A: North Tahoe def. Lake Mead, 46-72.

*Sierra Lutheran’s Jared Marchegger was the individual champion.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Division I: Reno def. Centennial, 40-54.

*Reed’s Samantha King-Shaw was the individual champion.

Class 3A: Truckee def. Spring Creek, 35-36.

*Faith Lutheran was Southern Nevada’s top finisher in fourth place with 124 points.

*Truckee’s Brenna Wapstra Scott was the individual champion.

Division III/IV: North Tahoe def. Sierra Lutheran, 32-37.

*The Meadows was Southern Nevada’s top finisher in third place with 86 points.

*North Tahoe’s Quinn Lehmkuhl was the individual champion.

BOYS TENNIS

Class 4A: Palo Verde def. Reno, 13-5.

*Desert Oasis’ Ben Gajardo won the singles title over Clark’s Michael Pasimio, 6-2, 6-3.

*Palo Verde’s doubles team of Mike Safbom and Brandon Sulzberg beat Clark’s Marcus Pasimio and Simran Shah, 6-3, 6-4.

Class 3A: The Meadows def. Boulder City, 10-8.

*Truckee’s Zach Haas won the singles title over Western’s Rua Elmore, 7-5, 6-0.

*South Tahoe’s doubles team of Louis Marin and Mickey Sullivan beat Boulder City’s Boen Huxford and Preston Jorgensen, 6-1, 6-2.

GIRLS TENNIS

Class 4A: Palo Verde def. Coronado, 13-5.

*Clark’s Audrey Boch-Collins def. Durango’s Averiana Mitchell, 6-2, 6-0.

*Bishop Gorman’s doubles team of Emma Figueredo and Angelique Friedrich beat Liberty’s Parker Burk and Payton Burk, 2-6, 7-6, 6-4.

Class 3A: The Meadows def. Desert Pines, 16-2.

*The Meadows’ Anuja Daulat def. teammate Abbigail Klein, 6-1, 6-3.

*The Meadows’ doubles team of Grace Nemec and Olivia Waysack beat. Desert Pines’ Shelly Alvarado and Yazaret Arredondo, 6-1, 6-0.
