Head coach: Jeff Edwards, eighth season

Returning letter winners: Five

Top athletes: Sadie Oakley (Sr.), Kendall Larson (Sr.)

Outlook: Oakley and Larson both ran in the Class 4A state meet last season and lead a group of five returning letter winners for the Crusaders.

“The team qualified two athletes for state last year and finished fifth as a team in the Sunset Region meet,” Edwards said. “The team is looking to move up from the fifth-place finish and into the top three for a trip to state.”

With less than a week remaining in the season, Coronado tennis coach Dave Willingham is clinging to two dreams, as his boys and girls teams chase Class 5A state titles.
