Top athletes: Diamond Morris (So.), Eden Tesfay (Jr.), Jackie Canas-Rodriguez (Sr.)
Outlook: Tesfay (17th), Morris (23rd) and Canas-Rodriguez (36th) all placed in the top 40 in last year’s Class 3A state meet, and all three finished in the top five of the Southern Region meet.
They lead a group of six returning letter winners for the Roadrunners, who were fourth in the team standings in the state meet.
“Coming off of a successful 2016 season, our goal is to win the league and region meets and to place in the top three teams at the state meet,” Meyer said.
