ROUNDUP: Anaya leads Silverado girls to win

Kerissa Anaya finished first Tuesday and helped Silverado’s girls win a three-team meet at Sierra Vista.

Silverado had a team score of 25. Las Vegas was second with 45, followed by Sierra Vista with 61.

Anaya won the 2.5-mile race in 17 minutes, 13 seconds. Las Vegas’ Shelby Nelsen was second in 18:07.

Armstrong leads Spring Valley girls
At Del Sol, Valerie Armstrong took first and helped Spring Valley’s girls to a 25-32 win over the Dragons.

Armstrong finished the 2.4-mile course in 17:51. Del Sol’s Felisha Chischillie was second in 18:09.

Bulldogs place three in top five to win
At Centennial, Centennial placed three in the top five, finishing with 22 points to win a three-team meet.

Foothill’s Leah Leedy won the 2.6-mile race in 14:47.

Centennial’s Adreielle Weschler was second in 15:42, followed by teammates Hayley Davis (15:57) and Ashley Davis (16:03).

Shadow Ridge places four in top five to win
At Faith Lutheran, Shadow Ridge had four runners place in the top five to win a four-team meet.

Faith Lutheran’s Keely Bakken won the 2.5-mile race in 15:51. Bakken was followed by Shadow Ridge’s Palolo Prince (16:15); Mallory Reese (16:25); Ashley Graf (16:30) and Megan Castro (16:35).

Shadow Ridge finished with 21 points. Faith Lutheran (61) was second, followed by Pahrump Valley (73) and Legacy (96).
