ROUNDUP: Clark girls win with 1-2-3 finish

Clark’s girls cross country team placed the top three runners Wednesday at home on the way to a win over Bishop Gorman and Bonanza.

Clark scored 17 points, topping Gorman (48) and Bonanza (55).

Kira Espinoza-Levy won on the 2.5-mile course in 18 minutes, 53 seconds to lead the Chargers. She was followed by Megan Kolvenbach (18:57) and Kelsey Rastello (19:17).

Aggies post perfect score
At Indian Springs, Arbor View placed the top five runners on the way to a perfect 15 and a win over Centennial (45).

Randi Withoft won on the 3.1-mile course in 21:32, followed by Kourtney Willey (22:05) and Amberly Halstead (22:18).

Crusaders edge Spartans
At The Meadows, Faith Lutheran scored 27 points to edge Cimarron-Memorial (30) despite placing only one runner in the top six.

Cimarron’s Savannah Chavez won on the 2.7-mile course in 22:08. She was followed by Legacy’s Skye Luchsinger (22:15) and Faith Lutheran’s Megan Bosch (22:21).

Valley tops Sunrise Mountain
At Sunset Park, Kim Guzman took first place with a time of 18:50 to pace the host Vikings.

Annie Underwood finished in second for Valley with a time of 19:04 and Genesis Cerrato was third in 19:19 on the 2.65-mile course.

Sunrise Mountain’s Amanda Love-Appling took fourth in 20:22.

Las Vegas beats Eldorado, Moapa Valley
At Las Vegas, the Wildcats had seven of the top 10 runners on the way to 25 points and a win over Eldorado (46) and Moapa Valley (67).

Eldorado’s Claudia Gonzalez won the 2.56-mile race in 19:10. She was followed by Las Vegas’ Shelby Nelson (19:27) and Cindy Guerrero (19:34) in third.

Spring Valley wins meet
At Sierra Vista, the Grizzlies had six of the top 10 runners on the way to 26 points and a win over Sierra Vista (40) and Western (77).

Spring Valley’s Val Armstrong won the 2.5-mile race in 19:13.
