ROUNDUP: Jones paces Arbor View girls past Mustangs

Zanae Jones won a 2.9-mile race in 18 minutes, 28 seconds Wednesday to lead Arbor View’s girls cross country team to a 26-29 victory over Shadow Ridge at Floyd Lamb Park.
Maddie Fletcher was second in 19:14 for Arbor View, which had three of the top five finishers.
Shadow Ridge’s Sydney Frasier took third in 19:29.
Depth helps Gaels edge Spartans, Mustangs
At Cimarron-Memorial, Bishop Gorman had six of the top 12 finishers on its way to victory over Cimarron and The Meadows.
Gorman and Cimarron scored 40 points each, but Gorman won on the sixth-runner tiebreaker. The Meadows scored 50 points.
Cimarron’s Tiana Callejo won the 2.5-mile race in 16:42.
The Meadows’ Jeneke Heerema and Cimarron’s Julianna Brooks took second and third, respectively, both in 16:54.
Badger leads Bulldogs to victory
At Centennial, Sydney Badger won a 3.1-mile race in 18:13 to lead the Bulldogs to a 15-49 victory over Desert Oasis.
Centennial’s Katie Gorczyca was second in 19:18, and teammate Shelby Gibbons took third in 20:46.
The Bulldogs claimed the top six spots.
Coss guides Roadrunners to win
At Tech, Taylor Coss won a 3.1 mile-race in 23:36 as the Roadrunners posted a win in a three-team meet.
Tech had 34 points, four fewer than Chaparral. Boulder City was third with 52.
Chaparral’s Linda Sue Luchsinger was second in 25:02. Boulder City’s Danielle Cummings took third in 25:54.
Vanek, Falcons dominate
At Foothill, Alyse Vanek won a 2.5-mile race in 16:56.6 to lead the Falcons (15 points) past Del Sol, which had only four runners finish the race.
Foothill had the top seven finishers, as Airyanna Medina took second in 17:06.8 and Demi White was third in 17:15.6.
Dort, Cougars trump Patriots
At Liberty, Sara Dort won a 3.1-mile race in 19:40 to lead Coronado to a 15-48 victory over the Patriots.
Coronado’s Kristen Morrill was second in 19:54.4, and teammate Logan Lucas took third in 20:28.5.
Blackburn, Wildcats top Skyhawks
At Las Vegas, Gabbi Blackburn won a 3.1-mile race in 22:21 to lead the Wildcats to a 22-35 victory over Silverado.
Las Vegas’ Hannah Azar was second in 22:59, and teammate Jacquline Ramirez-Gamboa took third in 23:19.
Eskin leads Gators past Vikings
At Pecos Legacy Park, Lindy Eskin won a 3.1-mile race in 22:49 to lead Green Valley to a 16-49 rout of Valley.
Green Valley’s Stacie Hall was second in 23:45, and teammate Sage Andress took third in 23:58.
