Durango’s Frankie Bisacky finished the 3.1-mile course in 16 minutes, 56.7 seconds to win the Southwest League title on Saturday at Basic.
Basic’s Raquel Chavez passed Green Valley’s Mia Smith’s at the 300-meter mark of the 3.1-mile race and never looked back to win the Sunrise Region girls cross country title Saturday morning at Basic.
Centennial’s boys cross country team had three of the top six runners on Monday to win the Bud O’Dea Classic freshman race at Desert Breeze.

Omar Rubio led the way, as he once again edged Arbor View’s Ian Jackson at the end to win the 3.1-mile race. Rubio sprinted away in the final 300 meters to win in 16 minutes, 24.4 seconds. Jackson finished second in 16:26.9.
