Returning letter winners (starters): Four (four)

Top players: WR Alexis Schraft (Sr.), QB Alex Peay (Jr.)

Outlook: Only four letter winners return for the Pirates, but there’s plenty of interest in the program as Belcher said 60 girls tried out this season.

“Moapa Valley has some good players with some speed but, we are inexperienced,” Belcher said. “We are looking to improve from last year’s win total and are excited to be playing again.

“We have Alexis Schraft returning who missed last year due to an injury from soccer. She was an all-league pick as a sophomore. Alex Peay returns as our quarterback. She was an all-league pick last year. With the two returning and some speed, we will be a better team than last year.”
