2017-18 Spring Valley Flag Football Capsule

SPRING VALLEY

Head coach: Marcus Teal, sixth season

2016-17 record: 2-12 (2-8 Southwest, fifth)

Returning letter winners (starters): Two (two)

Top players: WR/QB Teegan Teal (Jr.), WR/DB Maribel Gomez (Sr.)

Outlook: Only two starters return for the Grizzlies, who graduated a huge senior class.

“We will, again, be an inexperienced group that will be relying on growing as a team as the season goes on,” Marcus Teal said. “Last year’s team graduated 16 Seniors, and we wiill be replacing them with youth and inexperience.

“Teegan Teal and Maribel Gomez are the only returners to a team that will try to become a contender in the tough Southwest League. I look forward to teaching and introducing this year’s team to a growing sport that I hope they will enjoy.”
