FLAG FOOTBALL: Bush, Panthers beat Pirates

Cydnee Bush rushed for two touchdowns Thursday to help Palo Verde’s flag football team to a 19-7 win over Moapa Valley in Overton.

Alyssa Tygh threw a TD pass to Tara Richardson for the Panthers’ other score.

Brighton Crawford had a 20-yard TD run for the Pirates.

Spring Valley 27, Sierra Vista 26 — At Sierra Vista, the Grizzlies nipped the Mountain Lions.

Kalei Watkins threw three touchdown passes for Sierra Vista. Vladana Lazic and Neomi Vazquez each caught a scoring pass, and Calista Reyes ran for a touchdown for the Mountain Lions.

Legacy 19, Cheyenne 6 — At Legacy, Avi’Ana Shelton rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries as the Longhorns topped the Desert Shields.

Aujaneh Jackson and Akia Williams each caught a touchdown pass for Legacy. Williams rushed for 62 yards on 13 carries and caught three passes for 62 yards.

Shadow Ridge 45, Durango 18 — At Durango, Michelle Dominguez rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries as the Mustangs routed the Trailblazers.

Valley 35, Desert Pines 6 — At Valley, the Vikings scored the game’s first 35 points in a rout of the Jaguars.

Liberty 14, Del Sol 7 — At Del Sol, the Patriots topped the Dragons.
