FLAG FOOTBALL: Carmell, Eagles blank Green Valley

Jeanne Carmell completed 10 of 18 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown Thursday to lead host Boulder City’s flag football team to an 18-0 win over Green Valley.

Carmell also rushed for 106 yards on 14 carries and a score for Boulder City (19-0), which will face Foothill (20-3) in the region final at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Del Sol.

Kinsey Smyth had four catches for 95 yards and a score and 55 rushing yards on seven carries for the Eagles, who also got a rushing TD from Paige Buettner.

Green Valley’s Adelia Sigala was 6 of 18 passing for 56 yards and had 52 yards rushing on eight carries, and teammate Jinger Meuir added 43 receiving yards and 38 rushing yards for the Gators (14-6).

Foothill 27, Silverado 7 — At Silverado, Jadyn McArthur completed 16 of 23 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns to help the Falcons rout the Skyhawks (17-3).

McArthur also had 10 carries for 73 yards and a score for Foothill, which only led 14-7 at halftime.

Renee Ritchie caught five passes for 72 yards and two scores, and Emily Russell added 46 receiving yards on six catches and a TD for the Falcons.

SUNSET REGION

Palo Verde 19, Cimarron-Memorial 12 — At Cimarron, the Panthers scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 6 minutes remaining to break a 12-12 tie and shock the Spartans (18-1).

Palo Verde (13-7) will meet Centennial (18-2) in the region final at 5 p.m. Monday at Del Sol.

Centennial 13, Legacy 6 — At Legacy, Lauren Ritter carried the ball 17 times for 77 yards to help the Bulldogs outlast the Longhorns (18-3).

Kiana Sai threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Alexis Girardi, and Ashley Marshall ran for a 76-yard TD to lead Centennial.

Legacy’s Ariana Witecki completed 16 of 25 passes for 175 yards and a score to Akia Williams, who finished with 53 yards receiving and 50 yards rushing.
