FLAG FOOTBALL: Coronado blanks Mojave

Caitlin Shannon accounted for three touchdowns Friday, and Coronado’s flag football team shut out visiting Mojave 33-0 in a nonleague game.

Shannon threw for 172 yards and two TDs and had a team-high 103 rushing yards and a score on eight carries.

Trinity Rhoades ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns on eight attempts for the Cougars, who led 19-0 at halftime.

Sydnee Hansen and Reagan Raimer each caught TDs from Shannon.

Rhoades led Coronado with five tackles, and Amanda Burt and Sophia Herrera each came away with interceptions for the Cougars.
