FLAG FOOTBALL: Franklin’s four TDs power Cowboys past Rams

Neshaune Franklin rushed for four touchdowns Friday to lead host Chaparral’s flag football team to a 38-21 win over Rancho.

Franklin rushed for 123 yards on just eight carries.

Toni Meshell ran for a score and tossed a touchdown pass to Selena Rosas for the Cowboys. Rosas had 111 receiving yards.

Sierra Vista 33, Spring Valley 27 — At Spring Valley, Calista Reyes rushed for 343 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries as the Mountain Lions outlasted the Grizzlies.

Kalei Watkins threw a touchdown pass to Neomi Vazquez for Sierra Vista.

Amberlynn Twigg ran for two scores and completed touchdown passes to Michaela Hood and Jozee DeCunzo for Spring Valley.

Green Valley 36, Basic 7 — At Green Valley, Adelia Sigala ran for two touchdowns and tossed a touchdown pass to Carolina Velasquez to lead the Gators past the Wolves.

Jinger Meuir scored a rushing touchdown and returned an interception 77 yards for another score for Green Valley, which also got a rushing touchdown from Amanda Ellis.

Boulder City 32, Eldorado 0 — At Boulder City, Jeanne Carmell threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Eagles blanked the Sundevils.

Carmell completed 16 of 23 passes for 207 yards, including touchdown strikes to Kinsey Smyth and Makenzy Waldo. Carmell also ran for 90 yards on nine carries.

Smyth also ran for a score, and Kenadee Bailey returned an interception for a touchdown for Boulder City.

Clark 38, Western 0 — At Clark, Stephany Chavez-Navarrete rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown on just seven carries to help the Chargers top the Warriors.

Jasmine Brooks ran for a touchdown and tossed a touchdown pass for Clark.

Dinela Solorzano also threw for a touchdown, and Karina Figueroa caught both TD passes for the Chargers, who also got rushing touchdowns from Chloe Blossom and Keyani Irving.

Centennial 25, Desert Oasis 6 — At Centennial, Kiana Sai threw two touchdown passes to Aliyah Wyrick to help the Bulldogs top the Diamondbacks.

Lauren Ritter ran for a touchdown, and Ashley Marshall returned an interception for a score for Centennial.

Kylee Bauer had a touchdown run for Desert Oasis.

Legacy 30, Cheyenne 6 — At Cheyenne, Tierra Watson rushed for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass to help the Longhorns defeat the Desert Shields.

Nicole White threw the touchdown pass for Legacy, which also got scoring runs from Avi’Ana Shelton, Alexys Saiz and Aujeneh Jackson.

Tech 18, Coronado 6 — At Coronado, Rebeca Rivera ran for two touchdowns to help the Roadrunners top the Cougars.

Katy Orellano also threw a touchdown pass to Avery Rayos for Tech.

Heaven Lucero ran for a touchdown for Coronado.

Mojave 20, Bonanza 13 — At Mojave, Raven Williams ran for three touchdowns to lead the Rattlers by the Bengals.

Shadow Ridge 20, Durango 19 — At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs nipped the Trailblazers in overtime.

Kiana-Capri Wilcox threw three touchdown passes, two to Alexis Villanueva, for Durango. Wilcox also rushed for 170 yards on 14 carries.

Palo Verde 27, Moapa Valley 0 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers blanked the Pirates.
