FLAG FOOTBALL: Heather Robinson’s interception seals Valley victory

Valley’s Heather Robinson intercepted a pass with 20 seconds to play to secure a 21-20 flag football victory over visiting Canyon Springs on Thursday.

Robinson and Ann Abrigo each caught a touchdown pass, and Isabella Davis ran for a score for the Vikings.

Athziri Perez led Valley with 14 tackles.

Del Sol 28, Boulder City 6 — At Del Sol, quarterback Xolani Frazier passed for 175 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Dragons to an easy win over the Eagles.

Melisa Taugasolo had TD catches of 10 and 20 yards for Del Sol, which got four sacks from Sierra Brooks.

Sierra Vista 33, Durango 13 — At Sierra Vista, Kalei Watkins threw five touchdown passes to lead the Mountain Lions over the Trailblazers.

Ryan Watkins caught three touchdown passes, and Mia Buanamontri added two TD catches for Sierra Vista.

Courtney O’Neal ran for 175 yards on 18 carries for the Mountain Lions.

Marcella Gaona had six tackles to lead the Sierra Vista defense.

Durango’s Deszarai Bellender rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown. Nayeli Silva-Kahalewai had a 54-yard TD pass to Kiana-Capri Wilcox for the Trailblazers.

Desert Oasis 33, Bonanza 14 — At Desert Oasis, Makayla Rickard had a hand in five touchdowns as the Diamondbacks beat the Bengals.

Rickard completed 11 of 19 passes for 178 yards and two TDs. She also rushed for 34 yards on six carries, including TD runs of 7 yards, 8 yards and 1 yard.

Cannei Cunningham hauled in TD passes of 27 and 15 yards for the Diamondbacks, and Lillyana Ghamem finished with seven catches for 94 yards.

Cunningham also had eight tackles and an interception, and Dominique Korschinowski had five tackles, a sack and an interception for Desert Oasis.

Tech 20, Chaparral 0 — At Tech, Katy Orellana threw two touchdowns, rushed for one and had two interceptions to lead the Roadrunners over the Cowboys.

Natasha Franklin and Haley Makue-Vasconcellos each caught a touchdown for the Roadrunners, who recorded their third shutout of the season.

Virgin Valley 53, Moapa Valley 13 — At Mesquite, Elizabeth DeLeon caught two touchdown passes in the Bulldogs’ rout of the Pirates.

Kallie Graves threw for three touchdowns for the Bulldogs, who led 40-0 at halftime. Markell Ludvigson led the Virgin Valley defense with six tackles and an interception.

Spring Valley 14, Clark 12 — At Clark, the Grizzlies edged the Chargers.

T’keyah Bannister threw two touchdown passes for Clark.

Lauren Marcus and Carolina Ramos each caught touchdown passes for the Chargers, who led 12-0 at halftime.
