FLAG FOOTBALL: Howie rushes for winning score as Aggies nip Longhorns

Taylor Howie capped a game-winning drive with a rushing touchdown Wednesday to lead Arbor View’s flag football team to a 14-12 win at Legacy.
Francesca D’Arienzo rushed for 133 yards for the Aggies, who began the march downfield after a Kayla Stephens interception.
Shardell Purdy was 7-for-12 passing for 30 yards and a touchdown, and added seven carries for 58 yards and a touchdown for Legacy.
Tierra Watson caught the touchdown pass from Purdy and recorded seven tackles.
Desert Oasis 28, Shadow Ridge 7 — At Desert Oasis, Kylee Bauer tossed two touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Diamondbacks topped the Mustangs.
Bauer, who completed 23 of 35 passes for 315 yards, hit Ariel Blockovich for a 19-yard score and Shonda Badayos on a 3-yard TD pass. Bauer also had a 3-yard TD run for the Diamondbacks.
Kayla Saucedo ran for 63 yards and a touchdown on five carries and caught seven passes for 162 yards for Desert Oasis. Badayos added seven catches for 59 yards.
Sierra Vista 17, Centennial 6 — At Centennial, the Mountain Lions downed the Bulldogs.
Ashley Marshall rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown for Centennial.
Mojave 19, Spring Valley 12 — At Mojave, Dilyn Johnson scored three rushing touchdowns, and Helana Hernandez posted a interception as the Rattlers outlasted the Grizzlies.
Christina LeMay and Kimberly Gonzalez each posted six tackles for Mojave, which led 12-0 at the half.
Cimarron-Memorial 26, Moapa Valley 0 — At Cimarron, Jaymee Luke scored three touchdowns to lead the Spartans by the Pirates.
Luke passed for 136 yards, rushed for 115 yards and recorded an interception for Cimarron.
Briana Callejo racked up 107 total yards, scored two touchdowns and had an interception for Cimarron.
Western 24, Durango 0 — At Western, Larissa Herrera tossed three touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Warriors rolled by the Trailblazers.
Alejandra Alvarez caught two of the TD passes, and Nathalia Luna hauled in the other for Western.
