FLAG FOOTBALL: Katy Orellana leads Tech rout of Moapa Valley

Katy Orellana had a hand in five touchdowns for the Tech flag football team, and the Roadrunners blanked host Moapa Valley on Monday for their second shutout of the season.

Orellana completed 12 of 15 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns. She also ran for 85 yards and two scores on 10 carries and returned an interception 25 yards for a TD for Tech, which led 20-0 at halftime.

Avery Rayos had eight catches for 175 yards and two TDs, and Aylin Silva ran eight times for 55 yards and a score for the Roadrunners.

Bonanza 53, Spring Valley 13 — At Spring Valley, Brianna Hernandez-Silva completed 7 of 11 of passes for 184 yards and four touchdowns to carry the Bengals over the Grizzlies.

Hernandez-Silva also rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, and recorded an interception on defense. Shayne Dunn 100 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Bonanza’s Kiara Castro-Avalos had 12 tackles and three sacks.

Sierra Vista 20, Desert Oasis 12 — At Sierra Vista, Kalei Watkins threw three touchdown passes to lead the Mountain Lions past the Diamondbacks.

Jamie Kalaau-Sunia intercepted two passes for Sierra Vista.

Durango 26, Clark 6 — At Durango, Deszarai Bellender rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Trailblazers over the Chargers.

Kiana-Capri Wilcox added 112 yards rushing for Durango.

Virgin Valley 20, Del Sol 6 — At Mesquite, Katie Zuniga rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown to help lead the Bulldogs over the Dragons.

Kallie Graves threw for 85 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs, and Dylan Bryant and Markell Ludvigson each had an interception.

Rancho 32, Eldorado 20 — At Eldorado, the Rams defeated the Sundevils.

Eldoraod’s MohnAi Roberson rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns.

Boulder City 24, Chaparral 12 — At Chaparral, Taylor Tenney completed 16 of 24 passes for 186 yards and three TDs as the Eagles topped the Cowboys.

Tenney also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown and intercepted a pass.

Aimee Finn caught two touchdown passes, and Nikki Meleo had a TD catch for Boulder City.

Naja Muhammad ran for 158 yards and a touchdown for Chaparral.
