FLAG FOOTBALL: McGinnis’ late TD lifts Skyhawks by Cimarron

Kayla McGinnis scored on a 4-yard touchdown run with 30 seconds remaining to break a 20-20 tie and give Silverado's flag football team a 26-20 win over visiting Cimarron-Memorial on Friday.

Anna Phillips intercepted a pass on the ensuing possession to seal the win for Silverado, which trailed 13-12 at halftime.

Kui'Puha Untalan threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score for Silverado, and teammate Sophia Mauro added a 10-yard rushing TD.

Desert Oasis 20, Arbor View 12 — At Desert Oasis, Kylee Bauer tossed three touchdown passes to help the Diamondbacks down the Aggies.

Bauer completed 9 of 21 passes for 165 yards. Lisia Wolfgram hauled in six passes for 119 yards and a touchdown, and teammate Cassie Chesler also caught a touchdown pass for Desert Oasis.

Foothill 35, Coronado 20 — At Foothill, Jadyn McArthur threw five touchdown passes to lead the Falcons by the Cougars.

McArthur completed 23 of 28 passes for 172 yards.

Emily Russell caught nine passes for 56 yards and two touchdowns, and Cerina Troyano, Sydney Babakitis and Emily Mull each hauled in one TD pass for Foothill.

Valley 34, Liberty 12 — At Liberty, Kayla Steiner ran for a touchdown and caught a TD pass to help the Vikings top the Patriots.

Esmerelda Tenorio rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown, and Amanda Manresa added a rushing TD for Valley, which also got a touchdown catch from Neida Gutierrez.

Green Valley 40, Eldorado 7 — At Green Valley, Bella Cipili threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns as the Gators routed the Sundevils.

Hennessy Elkins caught seven passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns, and Samantha Loving rushed for two touchdowns for Green Valley, which also got TD catches from Alyson Thorne and Daisy Ochoa.

Las Vegas 40, Canyon Springs 6 — At Canyon Springs, Tajanae Davis caught three passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns as the Wildcats routed the Pioneers.

Sabrina Saldate completed 9 of 14 passes for 184 yards and three TDs, and teammate Taylor Stonebarger rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Las Vegas, which also got an interception return for a touchdown by Teleda Williams.

Yareli Trujillo tossed a touchdown pass to Destini Cooper for Canyon Springs. Cooper rushed for 145 yards on 17 carries.

Sierra Vista 44, Clark 20 — At Sierra Vista, Courtney O'Neal rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Mountain Lions by the Chargers.

Kalei Watkins threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns for Sierra Vista.

Centennial 48, Bonanza 0 — At Centennial, Halli Erickson threw for 254 yards and four touchdowns, and Aliyah Wyrick caught five passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns as the Bulldogs routed the Bengals.

Ashley Marshall rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and caught a touchdown pass for Centennial.

Kayla Kipp returned an interception for a touchdown for Centennial.

Basic 18, Rancho 6 — At Basic, the Wolves topped the Rams.
