FLAG FOOTBALL: Nibarger’s three TDs help Aggies to season-opening win

Haley Nibarger caught pair of touchdown passes and returned an interception for a score Monday to lead Arbor View’s flag football team to a 24-0 win over visiting Virgin Valley.
Taylor Howie threw for 114 yards and two TDs for the Aggies.
Centennial 20, Shadow Ridge 13 — At Shadow Ridge, Ashley Marshall’s 5-yard TD run with 1:40 to play lifted the Bulldogs by the Mustangs.
Marshall also had a 10-yard TD run and finished with 53 yards on six carries. Tiana Bonds added 118 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Centennial.
Joryan Brewer had 24 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and caught two passes for 27 yards and a score for the Mustangs.
Shadow Ridge quarterback Alexia Murrietta completed 7 of 18 passes for 75 yards and rushed three times for 42 yards.
Desert Oasis 33, Coronado 0 — At Coronado, Briona Viloria scored two touchdowns to help the Diamondbacks top the Cougars.
Kayla Saucedo, Ashlyn Lee and Camille Brown each added a touchdown for Desert Oasis.
Clark 18, Cheyenne 6 — At Cheyenne, Stephanie Chavez had a pair of first-half touchdowns to help the Chargers top the Desert Shields.
Olivia Berenguel added a touchdown for Clark.
Girly Tambeagor scored Cheyenne’s touchdown.
Sierra Vista 14, Western 0 — At Sierra Vista, Anye Drummond had a 60-yard touchdown run in the first half to help the Mountain Lions top the Warriors.
Dreah Gaspar added a 3-yard TD run in the second half for Sierra Vista.
Legacy 20, Palo Verde 19 — Shardell Purdy tossed three touchdown passes, including one on the final play of the game, to lead the Longhorns by the Panthers.
Caitlyn Oxford had three TD passes for Palo Verde, which took a 19-13 lead with 1:21 left on an 18-yard pass from Oxford to Morgan Myers. Myers caught two touchdown passes, and Regan Vertrees hauled in one for the Panthers.
Moapa Valley 12, Mojave 0 — At Overton, Shayla Pratt tossed a pair of first-half touchdown passes to lead the Pirates by the Rattlers.
Diana Robles and Inger Venterink each caught a touchdown pass for Moapa Valley.
Bonanza 27, Spring Valley 25 — At Spring Valley, the Bengals nipped the Grizzlies.
Jozee DeCunzo scored two touchdowns for Spring Valley.
Cimarron-Memorial 46, Durango 0 — At Durango, the Spartans picked off five passes en route to an easy win over the Trailblazers.
Morgan Hemphill had two interceptions for Cimarron.
