FLAG FOOTBALL: Rattlers rally in second half to down Chargers

Leilani Limtiaco caught two second-half touchdown passes Wednesday as Mojave's flag football team rallied for an 18-6 road win over Clark in a Division I-A Sunset League game.

Paige Smith added a rushing score for the Rattlers, who trailed 6-0 at halftime.

Keyani Irving had a 10-yard rushing TD for Clark.

Virgin Valley 21, Chaparral 19 — At Mesquite, Katie Zuniga rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries to lead the Bulldogs by the Cowboys.

Neshaune Franklin had 203 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries for Chaparral.

Boulder City 27, Del Sol 6 — At Del Sol, Jeanne Carmell completed 20 of 29 passes for 239 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 80 yards and a score to lead the Eagles by the Dragons.

Kenadee Bailey caught all three touchdown passes and finished with four catches for 44 yards for the Eagles, who also got 82 yards receiving from Oshanna Remy.

Desert Oasis 27, Durango 7 — At Durango, Kylee Bauer went 14-for-24 for 126 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two scores as the Diamondbacks upended the Trailblazers.

Aniyah Reed and Lillyana Ghanem had TD catches for Desert Oasis, which outscored Durango 20-0 in the second half.

Claudina Luna had a 35-yard TD run for Durango.

Las Vegas 39, Liberty 13 — At Liberty, Sabrina Saldate completed 7 of 12 passes for 183 yards and four touchdowns to power the Wildcats by the Patriots.

Alexis Benpard caught seven passes for 122 yards and two scores for Las Vegas, which outscored Liberty 19-0 in the second half.

Cheyenne 45, Spring Valley 13 — At Spring Valley, Angela Hammond rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Desert Shields by the Grizzlies.

Liliana Cadacio tossed two TD passes to Ly'Brina Shelton for Cheyenne, which also got rushing TDs from Keiaiha Carter and Brianna Torres.

Spring Valley's Michaela Hood finished 9-for-15 for 215 yards and two touchdowns, both of which went to Doris Gutierrez-Hoyos.

Gutierrez-Hoyos finished with five catches for 103 yards, and Jozee DeCunzo added 49 yards rushing and 57 yards receiving for the Grizzlies.

Sierra Vista 46, Western 7 — At Sierra Vista, Danielle Melton had three touchdown receptions, and the Mountain Lions coasted past the Warriors.

Melton finished with six catches for Sierra Vista, which led 27-0 at halftime.

Courtney O'Neal added 127 rushing yards and two touchdowns for the Mountain Lions.

Desert Pines 25, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Sunrise Mountain, Tanaiya Hinton rushed 11 times for 233 yards and three touchdowns to help the Jaguars top the Miners.

Meleane Ngaue and Paola Juarez-Avila each added rushing scores for Desert Pines, which outscored Sunrise Mountain 19-0 in the second half.

Ngaue also completed 6 of 10 passes for 80 yards.

Palo Verde 20, Legacy 12 — At Legacy, the Panthers defeated the Longhorns.

Akia Williams had nine carries for 45 yards and a TD, and Kaila Hackett had 14 tackles for Legacy.

Valley 12, Shadow Ridge 6 — At Valley, Kayla Steiner and Baylee Wieslander each caught a scoring pass from Amanda Manresa as the Vikings beat the Mustangs.

Moapa Valley 22, Tech 19 — At Overton, the Pirates stormed out to a 22-6 halftime lead and hung on late to defeat the Roadrunners.
