FLAG FOOTBALL: Rivera’s arm lifts Pioneers

Tea Rivera threw three touchdown passes Tuesday to lead Canyon Springs’ flag football team to a 19-13 home victory over Liberty.

Rivera completed 17 of 36 passes for 177 yards. She had scoring strikes to Destini Cooper, Amaya Youngblood and Brianna White.

Cooper finished with five catches for 60 yards.

Shadow Ridge 26, Cheyenne 13 — At Shadow Ridge, Victoria Tolle completed 10 of 21 passes for 191 yards and three touchdowns to guide the Mustangs past the Desert Shields.

Samantha Milanovich had 123 receiving yards and two TD receptions, and teammate Maelle Vilon rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown.

Green Valley 41, Rancho 27 — At Green Valley, Adelia Sigala threw for 247 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Gators over the Rams.

Allison Thorne caught six passes for 110 yards and two TDs for Green Valley.

Amanda Ellis and Jinger Meuir each had rushing TD, and Carli Perkins and Isabel Madrid each caught a TD pass for the Gators.

Las Vegas 26, Desert Pines 18 — At Desert Pines, Danielle Ruesch had two receiving touchdowns to lead the Wildcats by the Jaguars.

Desert Pines’ Francis Jackson had 14 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown.

Legacy 46, Durango 0 — At Durango, Aujaneh Jackson had five total touchdowns to help the Longhorns rout the Trailblazers.

Jackson scored two rushing touchdowns in the first half to give Legacy a 19-0 halftime lead, and added three touchdown receptions from Nicole White in the second half. White completed 9 of 17 passes for 151 yards and five touchdowns.

Palo Verde 33, Spring Valley 14 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers jumped out to a 20-7 halftime advantage, and held on to down the Grizzlies.

Spring Valley’s Amberlynn Twigg passed for 171 yards and two touchdowns. Twigg also rushed for 113 yards on 10 carries.

Valley 20, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Valley, the Vikings shut out the Miners.

Sierra Vista 34, Moapa Valley 21 — At Overton, the Mountain Lions beat the Pirates.
