FLAG FOOTBALL: Sundevils score twice in final seven minutes to beat Bonanza

Alonshea Haislip threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns Monday to help Eldorado’s flag football team open its season with a 39-27 victory over visiting Bonanza.

Shelby Johnson rushed for 100 yards and two TDs for the Sundevils, who scored twice in the final seven minutes to break a 27-27 tie.

Brianna Hernandez ran for two TDs and tossed a touchdown pass for the Bengals.

Cimarron-Memorial 31, Palo Verde 7 — At Palo Verde, Jaymee Luke threw five touchdown passes to lead the Spartans past the Panthers.

Luke completed 12 of 20 passes for 199 yards and rushed for 79 yards,

Logan DeLong caught seven passes for 79 yards and four TDs, and DeShan Cambrit caught four passes for 95 yards and a score for Cimarron.

Spring Valley 40, Western 6 — At Spring Valley, Amberlynn Twigg rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 128 yards and three TDs to lead the Grizzlies by the Warriors.

Jozee DeCunzo ran for 82 yards and a score and caught three passes for 48 yards and two touchdowns for Spring Valley. Doris Gutierrez-Hoyos caught a 60-yard TD pass for the Grizzlies.

Virgin Valley 26, Shadow Ridge 21 — At Shadow Ridge, the Bulldogs did all of their scoring in the first half and held off the Mustangs.

Michelle Dominguez rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns for Shadow Ridge.

Moapa Valley 12, Clark 6 — At Overton, Hattleigh Gordon tossed two first-half touchdown passes to guide the Pirates by the Chargers.

Heilish Gordon and Amy Waite caught the scoring passes.

Stephany Chavez-Navarrete had a rushing TD for Clark.

Mojave 25, Durango 21 — At Durango, Raven Miller ran for two touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass to Brianna Guillen to help the Rattlers edge the Trailblazers.

Michelle Hernandez added a TD run for Mojave.

Amanda Maloney threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score for Durango.

Arbor View 21, Sierra Vista 13 — At Sierra Vista, Francesca D’Arienzo rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries as the Aggies topped the Mountain Lions.

Sierra Vista’s Neomi Vazquez threw two touchdown passes to Adrianna Somerville.

Centennial 21, Legacy 6 — At Legacy, the Bulldogs topped the Longhorns.

Nicole White threw a touchdown pass to Akia Williams for Legacy.

Desert Oasis 15, Cheyenne 12 — At Cheyenne, the Diamondbacks edged the Desert Shields.
