FLAG FOOTBALL: Tiara Jimmison’s interception seals Green Valley’s double-overtime win

Tiara Jimmison’s interception in the second overtime Monday allowed Green Valley’s flag football team to hang on for an 18-12 road victory over Coronado.
Green Valley’s Deborah Grant rushed for 96 and two touchdowns. Grant scored the go-ahead 1-yard rushing TD in the second overtime.
Erin Zinke led Green Valley with 13 tackles. Jimmison had 10 tackles and two sacks.
Centennial 19, Arbor View 14 — At Arbor View, Taylor Aquino intercepted a pass in the end zone with about 30 seconds to play to secure the Bulldogs’ win over the Aggies.
Halli Erickson completed 7 of 8 passes for 195 yards and three TDs for the Bulldogs, but she threw an interception with 1:00 left to give the Aggies a final chance.
Denae Benites caught four passes for 168 yards and all three touchdowns for Centennial.
Lenae Thomas added 99 rushing yards on seven carries for the Bulldogs.
Benites also intercepted two passes, and Chantey Dixon had 12 tackles for Centennial.
Cimarron-Memorial 39, Legacy 12 — At Legacy, the Spartans scored 19 unanswered points in the second half and took down the Longhorns.
Cimarron’s Hailey Hughes caught a 60-yard touchdown pass at the start of the second half, and two plays later returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown.
Hughes caught four passes for 139 yards, and Alyssa Karpinski had nine catches for 119 yards and a touchdown for the Spartans.
Tiarra Del Rosario completed 12 of 23 passes for 247 yards and two TDs for Cimarron.
Foothill 34, Liberty 6 — At Liberty, Madisyn McArthur had a hand in four touchdowns as the Falcons rolled past the Patriots.
McArthur completed 18 of 28 passes for 264 yards and three TDs, and also added a 7-yard touchdown run.
Whitley Brown had five catches for 114 yards, including a 54-yard TD pass from McArthur.
Sydney Babakitis and Paityn Toohey also caught touchdown passes for the Falcons, and teammate Chloe Collins scored on a seven yard run.
Ilani Oliveira scored on a 60-yard run for Liberty.
Basic 26, Silverado 24 — At Silverado, Victoria Bravo scored two rushing touchdowns for the Skyhawks, but their second-half rally fell short in a loss to the Wolves.
Kui’Pua Untalan also scored a rushing touchdown for Silverado, which trailed 26-16 at halftime.
Francesca LoCascio had eight tackles to lead the Silverado defense.
Palo Verde 33, Shadow Ridge 27 — At Shadow Ridge, Dayvian Diaz rushed for 222 yards and two touchdowns, but Mustangs fell to the Panthers.
Diaz also had a 10-yard touchdown reception.
Desert Pines 24, Mojave 7 — At Mojave, the Jaguars scored 24 unanswered points in the second half as they defeated the Rattlers.
Mojave’s Marshae Aikens-Butler caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Marilyn Membreno to give the Rattlers a 7-0 halftime advantage.
Cheyenne 41, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields rolled past the Miners.
