FLAG FOOTBALL: Trujillo, Pioneers rally for overtime win

Yareli Trujillo intercepted a pass in overtime to end the game and give Canyon Springs a 33-26 road victory over Liberty on Tuesday.

The Pioneers trailed 19-0 at the half, but rallied to tie the game and force overtime.

Trujillo hit Leti Godoy with a 5-yard TD pass in overtime to put the Pioneers ahead, and her interception sealed the win.

Alyviah Brouchet rushed for 208 yards on 16 carries, including TD runs of 50, 39 and 5 yards, for Canyon Springs.

Trujillo completed 8 of 14 passes for 88 yards, and Destini Cooper had nine tackles for the Pioneers.

Las Vegas 40, Centennial 33 — At Las Vegas, Sabrina Saldate completed 11 of 13 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wildcats over the Bulldogs.

Natalie Gennuso caught five passes for 111 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats, and teammate Taylor Stonebarger rushed for 101 yards and a score. Las Vegas led 33-12 at the half.

Alexis Benpard rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats, and teammate Tajanae Davis added 55 yards receiving and a TD.

Desert Oasis 35, Cimarron-Memorial 21 — At Cimarron, Kylee Bauer threw three touchdown passes and the Diamondbacks scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to top the Spartans.

Bauer completed 18 of 26 passes for 260 yards, including scoring strikes to Lisia Wolfgram, Izriah Hodson and Cassie Chesler. Bauer also rushed for 72 yards on 10 carries, including a 1-yard TD run.

Hodson rushed for 87 yards and a TD on 14 carries, and Wolfgram caught seven passes for 126 yards.

Arbor View 36, Bonanza 12 — At Arbor View, Taylor Howie threw for 165 yards and four touchdowns to power the Aggies past the Bengals.

Aira Pinpin caught two passes for 70 yards and a touchdown and ran for 54 yards for Arbor View. Terren Vinson caught two passes for 47 yards and a TD and ran for 59 yards for the Aggies.

Green Valley 33, Basic 0 — At Green Valley, Carolina Velasquez caught six passes for 69 yards and a touchdown and had two interceptions to help the Gators rout the Wolves.

Bella Cipili completed 19 of 26 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns for Green Valley, which led 26-0 at the half.

Isabel Madrid had TD catches of 60 and 55 yards, and Hennessy Elkins added a TD catch for the Gators. Samantha Loving rushed for a TD for Green Valley, and teammate Carli Perkins had 11 tackles and four sacks.

Foothill 40, Eldorado 12 — At Eldorado, Emily Russell caught 12 passes for 133 yards and three touchdowns to help the Falcons beat the Sundevils.

Jadyn McArthur completed 27 of 39 passes for 310 yards and five TDs for Foothill, which led 20-12 at the half.

Sydney Babakitis caught two TD passes, and Marissa Spatafore rushed for a touchdown for the Falcons.

Coronado 39, Rancho 12 — At Rancho, the Cougars built a 39-0 lead and rolled past the Rams.

Valley 36, Silverado 6 — At Silverado, the Vikings rolled by the Skyhawks.
