FLAG FOOTBALL: Williams helps Legacy down Spring Valley

Akia Williams rushed for 142 yards and a score and caught a touchdown pass Monday to help host Legacy’s flag football team rout visiting Spring Valley, 51-13.

Avi’Ana Shelton rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown and threw a TD pass for the Longhorns, who also got a rushing touchdown from Aujaneh Jackson.

Tavia Wells caught a touchdown pass and returned an interception for a score for Legacy.

Ariana Witecki threw two touchdown passes, and Nicole White tossed one scoring pass for Legacy. Tierra Watson and Sabrina Farrow also caught TD passes for the Longhorns.

Amberlynn Twigg rushed for a touchdown and threw a scoring pass to Doris Gutierrez-Hoyos for the Grizzlies.

Palo Verde 32, Durango 12 — At Durango, Cydnee Bush caught two first-half touchdown passes to lead the Panthers past the Trailblazers.

Lindsay Weisboard also scored on an interception return, and Alyssa Milliren-Garcia added a rushing touchdown for Palo Verde.

Amanda Maloney rushed for a touchdown and threw an 18-yard TD pass to Naomi Harris for Durango.

Shadow Ridge 47, Moapa Valley 12 — At Overton, Samantha Milanovich caught three touchdown passes as the Mustangs routed the Pirates.

Maelle Vilon, Bianca Rodriguez-Willrich and Danielle Lynch added scoring runs for Shadow Ridge.

Brighton Crawford ran for a score, and Hattileigh Gordon tossed a touchdown pass to Alexia Schraft for Moapa Valley.

Cheyenne 40, Sierra Vista 25 — At Sierra Vista, the Desert Shields topped the Mountain Lions.

Calista Reyes rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns, and Kalei Watkins threw a scoring pass to Neomi Vazquez for Sierra Vista, which also scored on Adrianna Sommerville’s interception return.

Liberty 28, Sunrise Mountain 19 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Patriots downed the Miners.

Valley 19, Canyon Springs 6 — At Valley, the Vikings topped the Pioneers.

Las Vegas 38, Del Sol 13 — At Del Sol, the Wildcats led just 19-13 at the half, but pulled away from the Dragons.
