Roundup: Gabriela Corchado, Durango hold off Desert Oasis

Gabriela Corchado caught 11 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown on Friday to help the Durango flag football team to a 42-36 home victory over Desert Oasis.

Nayeli Silva-Kahalewai completed 16 of 28 passes for 308 yards for the Trailblazers. She had a 7-yard TD pass to Kamaile Kuhiiki and a 12-yard TD pass to Autumn Stiezio.

Jaden Brown rushed for 139 yards and two TDs on 10 carries, and Tatiana Baes had 10 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown for Durango. Brown had an 80-yard TD run.

Zsalei Valdez completed 12 of 17 passes for 218 yards and four TDs to lead the Diamondbacks. Ashlynn Tuss had 14 catches for 216 yards and three scores, and Jaid Raval caught four passes for 83 yards and two TDs for Desert Oasis.

Chaparral 19, Moapa Valley 13 — At Chaparral, Vanessa Sanchez rushed for two touchdowns and intercepted a pass to lead the Cowboys over the Pirates.

Sanchez also caught five passes for 110 yards.

I’asia Mack completed 11 of 22 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown for Chaparral. Beverly Amaya caught the TD pass for the Cowboys, and teammate Amerie Baker had an interception.

Moapa Valley’s Lara Bingisser and Emma Eichhorn each caught a TD pass from Graceann Erickson.

Shadow Ridge 24, Arbor View 14 — At Arbor View, Mikayla Brown completed 21 of 30 passes for 212 yards and four touchdowns as the Mustangs defeated the Aggies.

Rachel Gadeski, Bobbie Wright, Angelina Esqueda, and Abbie Zulhke each had one touchdown reception for Shadow Ridge.

Wright had 12 catches for 84 yards, and Samantha Guerra rushed for 113 yards on 13 carries for Shadow Ridge. Angelica Rivera recorded five sacks for the Mustangs.

Cimarron-Memorial 20, Palo Verde 6 — At Cimarron, Tiarra Del Rosario threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead the Spartans by the Panthers.

Del Rosario completed 18 of 29 passes for 225 yards and rushed for 67 yards on nine carries. She completed touchdown passes to Mya’Liah Bethea and Natasha Obradovic.

Silverado 21, Sierra Vista 7 — At Sierra Vista, Katie Mulligan threw two touchdown passes as the Skyhawks beat the Mountain Lions.

Mulligan completed 11 of 16 passes for 101 yards, including scoring strikes to Brielen Aquino and Maile Gardner.

Aquino also returned an interception 30 yards for a score.

Bonanza 18, Centennial 13 — At Bonanza, Cindylou Rasiang threw two TD passes and ran for a score as the Bengals beat the Bulldogs.

Rasiang completed 18 of 28 passes for 220 yards, but was intercepted three times. She also rushed for 53 yards on seven carries.

Alicia Kestner had 10 catches for 68 yards and a TD, and Ashley Vasquez caught three passes for 78 yards and a score for Bonanza.

Charlene Beck rushed for 95 yards on 12 carries for the Bengals, which got seven tackles from Laura Valle.

Clark 45, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Jagayra Gomes threw five touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Chargers shut out the Grizzlies.

Gomes completed 11 of 18 passes for 122 yards and added five carries for 86 yards.

Jaeda Centeno had five catches for 76 yards and three touchdowns, and Tsion Gashaw and Jania Quinones-Teran each had a TD catch for Clark.

Thea Espanola had eight carries for 69 yards and a score, and Quinones-Teran had five carries for 80 yards for the Chargers.

Valley 27, Mojave 8 — At Mojave, the Vikings scored 20 first-half points to down the Rattlers.

Virgin Valley 20, Boulder City 0 — At Virgin Valley, the Bulldogs defeated the Eagles.

Sunrise Mountain 20, Western 12 — At Western, the Miners defeated the Warriors.
