Roundup: Las Vegas holds off Virgin Valley in shootout

Las Vegas High’s flag football team grabbed an 18-13 halftime lead before holding off Virgin Valley late for a 44-42 road win Monday afternoon.

Kallie Graves completed 14 of 25 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown and ran for 86 yards and two more scores to lead Virgin Valley.

Katie Zuniga ran for two touchdowns, and Emily Teerlink ran for one touchdown for the Bulldogs, who also got a TD reception, two sacks and a team-high six tackles from Makenzie Leishman.

Cheyenne 19, Del 12 — At Del Sol, the Desert Shields scored two second-half touchdowns to pull away from the Dragons.

Tarika Poullard and Angel Hodges each rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown to lead Del Sol.

Cora Butorac (10 tackes), Noa Bowie (nine tackles) and Angel Hodges (one sack) helped on defense.
