Roundup: Samantha Silva tallies 263 receiving yards, 3 TDs in Cimarron win

Samantha Silva caught 11 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns to carry Cimarron-Memorial’s flag football team to a 27-25 victory at home over Virgin Valley on Thursday.

Tiarra Del Rosario threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns, and also intercepted a pass for the Spartans.

Cimarron’s Nancy DeLaTorre had an interception, and Haylee Nerio had a sack.

Katie Zuniga rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries to lead Virgin Valley.

Moapa Valley 14, Sunrise Mountain 13 — At Sunrise Mountain, Alexis Schraft intercepted a pass with 29 seconds to play to secure the Pirates’ win over the Miners.

Alexis Peay completed 15 of 26 passes for 200 yards, including an 11-yard TD pass to Jessica Leon.

Mariah Mendoza had 13 carries for 77 yards and a 1-yard TD run for Moapa Valley, and Schraft caught six passes for 79 yards.

Coronado 12, Sierra Vista 0 — At Coronado, Ashley Hafemann intercepted two passes and had three pass breakups to lead the Cougars past the Mountain Lions.

Taylor Burton rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries for Coronado, which scored a touchdown in each half.

Jensen Boman hauled in a touchdown pass from Sydnee Hansen for the Cougars.

Western 14, Liberty 6 — At Western, Shydae Elam had 17 carries for 168 yards and a touchdown, as the Warriors held off the Patriots.

Koloa Makaafi supplied a 15-yard TD catch, and contributed 82 rushing yards for Western.

Basic 39, Valley 2 — At Basic, Marissa Owens threw four touchdown passes and rushed for a score as the Wolves routed the Vikings.

Kelsie Weber and Dre’Yahna Carter each caught a touchdown pass for Basic. Carter also had a rushing touchdown.

Canyon Springs 12, Shadow Ridge 9 — At Shadow Ridge, Jordan Ford ran for 265 yards for the Mustangs, but they fell to the Pioneers.

Arbor View 44, Durango 22 — At Arbor View, the Aggies jumped out to a 26-6 halftime lead and topped the Trailblazers.

Jaden brown rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown for Durango.
