Roundup: Tech’s defense stands tall in shutout of Liberty

Rhedisa Sua had four sacks, Adriana Carrillo had three interceptions and Caitlin Shirley-Tecumseh had two interceptions Thursday as Tech’s flag football team blanked visiting Liberty, 24-0.

Tech’s Taylor Ritayik threw three touchdown passes and rushed for a score, and the Roadrunners led 18-0 at halftime.

Angela Camarena, Erin Adarve and Alondra De La Garza each caught a TD pass for Tech.

Shadow Ridge 38, Durango 12 — At Shadow Ridge, Jordan Ford had 12 rushes for 243 yards and five touchdowns as the Mustangs defeated the Trailblazers.

Nicole Tripp-Herring completed 6 of 11 passes for 73 yards, including a 30-yard TD to Emily Butler for Shadow Ridge.

Gabriella Corchada caught two touchdown passes for the Trailblazers.

Basic 24, Del Sol 14 — At Basic, Kelsie Weber caught four touchdown passes from Marissa Owens as the Wolves rallied to defeat the Dragons.

Weber had nine catches for 185 yards. Owens completed 15 of 25 passes for 230 yards for Basic, which trailed 14-12 at the half.

Dre’Yahna Carter rushed for 90 yards on 10 carries for the Wolves.

Coronado 20, Desert Oasis 0 — At Coronado, Jensen Boman caught five passes for 133 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown, to lead the Cougars past the Diamondbacks.

Caitlin Shannon was 15 of 22 passing for 236 yards and two touchdowns for the Cougars.

Clark 25, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jagayra Gomes threw three touchdown passes and ran for a TD as the Chargers shut out the Miners.

Clark’s Tsion Gashaw, Jaeda Centeno and Janet Adame each caught a touchdown pass for the Chargers.

Green Valley 46, Las Vegas 12 — At Las Vegas High, Isabel Madrid caught nine passes for 117 yards to lead the Gators past the Wildcats.

Christina Mayberry scored a rushing touchdown and caught a touchdown pass for Green Valley, which led 28-8 at halftime.

Mayberry and Madrid also had interceptions for the Gators.

Morgan Adamson and Natalie Gennuso each caught a touchdown pass for the Wildcats.

Legacy 20, Moapa Valley 14 — At Overton, Jalyn Joule ran for two touchdowns and passed for another as the Longhorns beat the Pirates.

Mikaela Nunez had a TD catch and an interception, and teammate Alannah Subira intercepted two passes for Legacy.

Moapa Valley’s Alexis Peay threw two touchdown passes.

Silverado 31, Valley 0 — At Valley, the Skyhawks routed the Vikings.
