Arlt, Clay carry Clark past Warriors
Clark's Aaron Arlt rushed for 193 yards and two touchdowns and Andre Clay rushed for 178 yards and three scores, carrying the Chargers (3-7, 3-4 Southwest) to a 40-20 victory over visiting Western (2-7, 2-5) on Thursday.
Western’s Dawon Maxey rushed for 139 yards on seven carries, including an 80-yard touchdown late in the third quarter. But Arlt put the game out of reach in the fourth with touchdown runs of 8 and 17 yards.
Late in the first quarter, Western’s Thomas Johnson returned an interception 101 yards for a touchdown.
