The senior guard/forward led the Spartans to a 3-0 week, scoring 65 points, including 29 in a four-point win over Arbor View on Friday.

The junior intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown with two minutes to play, as the Chargers edged Cheyenne 19-12.

Frank Hines, Sierra Vista

The 182-pound senior’s pin in the final minute of a Dec. 13 meet against Bishop Gorman helped the Mountain Lions secure a 42-39 victory. He also won by fall against Clark on the same day.

Coronado set a state record with its score of 11-under at the Class 5A girls golf state championship. In tennis, Palo Verde swept the boys and girls 5A championships.
