The senior guard had 31 points in a 78-67 overtime win over Eldorado in the Las Vegas Prep Championship title game.

Essence Booker, Spring Valley

The senior guard, who is committed to UNR, led the Grizzlies to six wins last week and the Gator Winter Classic championship at Green Valley High. Booker scored a game-high 28 points in Spring Valley’s 67-65 title-clinching victory over Liberty.

Wrestling

Wyatt English, Foothill

The senior won the Las Vegas Holiday Classic at 145 pounds, and was named the tournament’s outstanding wrestler for lower weights.

Coronado set a state record with its score of 11-under at the Class 5A girls golf state championship. In tennis, Palo Verde swept the boys and girls 5A championships.
