The senior fired a five-inning perfect game with four strikeouts in an 11-0 victory over Shadow Ridge.

Cameron Gambini, Arbor View and Benjamin Sawaia, Coronado

Gambini, a senior, and Sawaia, a junior, both tied the Class 4A state record by shooting a 6-under-par 66. Gambini did it at Paiute on Wednesday, and Sawaia did it Thursday at Chimera.

Fia Tofi, Desert Oasis

The freshman went 8-for-9 with four home runs and 12 RBIs in three games to lead the Diamondbacks in a sweep of Bishop Gorman.

Boys Swimming

Tama Tuitama, Legacy

The senior posted a time of 47.77 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle against Bishop Gorman, the top time of the season in the area. He also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.75.

Astrid Villeda, Rancho

The senior won the 100-yard freestyle in 54.43 seconds and took the 100 backstroke in 1:03.46 against Boulder City.

The 6-foot-6-inch senior used his length to combine for 17 blocks in wins over Green Valley and Las Vegas.
