Cheyenne Capsule Preview

Coach: Juan Bahena (first year)

2007 record: 11-4-3 (11-2-1 Northwest League)

Returning starters: Five

Top players: Sweeper Jamie McNally (Sr.), F Victor Ramos (Sr.), F Giovanni Martinez (Jr.)

Outlook: In his first year, Bahena expects his team to be somewhat competitive, despite considering the Desert Shields to be "technically a brand new team."

Only five players return from the 2007 roster, including defensive specialist McNally, a senior sweeper, and forwards Ramos and Martinez.

Bahena hopes this nucleus of players, along with some talented underclassmen will propel Cheyenne to its third playoff appearance in as many years.
