Eldorado sports postponed after shooting in northeast valley

All sports involving Eldorado High were postponed on Wednesday afternoon after a man fired a gun on a bus in the northeast valley and the school was put on lockdown.

Boys and girls tennis, girls volleyball and boys soccer all had games scheduled, but those events were soon canceled after the school was placed on lockdown around “fifth period — probably 12:30-12:40,” according to Eldorado boys soccer coach David Ostler.

Ostler said the lockdown lasted until around 3 p.m.

As of Wednesday evening, no reschedule dates have been announced for any of the sports.
