The senior won a pair of critical events, the 100-yard butterfly (57.42 seconds) and the 200 freestyle (1:52.53), in a 140-134 win over Sierra Vista.

Abigail Richter, Green Valley

The senior won the the 50-yard freestyle (24.96 seconds) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.64) to key the team’s 154-150 win over Foothill 154-150.

Frankie Bisacky, Durango

The senior took home male track athlete of the meet honors at the Blaine Thompson Memorial Track Classic after winning the 1,600-meter run (4 minutes, 30.18 seconds) and 3,200 run (10:09.39). He also helped the Trailblazers win the boys distance medley.

Emma Wahlenmaier, Palo Verde

The senior won the 800-meter run (2 minutes, 24.83 seconds) and 1,600 run (5:23.44) to earn female track athlete of the meet at the Blaine Thompson Memorial Track Classic.

Chris McCoy, Sierra Vista

The senior totaled 43 kills and nine digs last week to help the Mountain Lions secure three wins, including a five-set victory at Rancho.

HEAD OF CLASS

ARBOR VIEW — Boys volleyball player Treven Clizbe had 21 kills, 24 digs, four blocks and three aces, including the match-clinching ace as the Aggies beat Centennial.

BONANZA — Boys swimmer David Een qualified for the region meet in the 200-yard freestyle, 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly. Girls swimmer Claudia Groenlykke qualified for the region meet in the 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.

FOOTHILL — Baseball player Andrew Hauck pitched a one-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 5-0 win over Eldorado. Girls track athlete Frankie Morrill won the triple jump (36 feet), 100-meter hurdles (16.21 seconds), 300 hurdles (47.49) and ran on the winning 1,600 relay team (4:16.50) at the Ron Ressler Invitational.

MOJAVE — Boys golfer Marcus Mullins placed fifth at a Sunset League match at Sunrise on Mar. 28.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Girls bowler April McDonnell was the MVP of the Southern Nevada USBC Association High School Bobby McVey Memorial MVP Bowling Tournament.

PALO VERDE — Boys golfer Jack Trent won the Champions Invitational in Indio, California with a 5-under-par 283 over four rounds.

SIERRA VISTA —Boys golfer Harrison Stanley shot an 84 at a Southwest League match at Canyon Gate, which was tied for sixth. Girls track athlete Kayla Smith won the long jump with a distance of 19 feet, 0¼ inches.
