AGASSI PREP — Girls basketball player Jada Smith had 16 points in a 43-38 win over The Meadows.

ARBOR VIEW — Girls bowler Meagan Huggins rolled a 517 series, including a 188 game, in a 9-0 win over Shadow Ridge. Boys bowler Austin Schleidt had a 601 series, with a high game of 225, in a 7-2 victory over Shadow Ridge.

BONANZA — Girls basketball player Brooklyn Savage hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points in a 46-41 win over Cimarron-Memorial.

CENTENNIAL — Wrestler Bruno Maraccini won by pin against Cimarron-Memorial.

CIMARRON-MEMORIAL — Boys basketball player Tony Harrison had 26 points and 16 rebounds in a 78-59 win over Bonanza. Girls bowler Taylor Quinn had a 503 series, including a 219 game in a victory over Palo Verde.

CLARK — Flag football player Stephanie Chavez had a rushing touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown against Centennial.

CORONADO — Flag football player Caroline Teixeira ran for a touchdown and the point after in a 27-13 win over Tech. Boys basketball player Austin Morgan had a total of 50 points and 13 assists in league victories over Eldorado and Basic.

DESERT OASIS — Wrestler David Villapondo won the consolation championship in the 285-pound weight class at the San Clemente (Calif.) Invitational. Girls basketball player Mikala Kirby had 20 points against Bishop Gorman and 12 points against Centennial.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Girls basketball player Morgan Hill posted her eighth double-double of the season with 15 points and 12 rebounds against Clark. Boys basketball player Mitch Fulfer averaged 11 points and 8.5 rebounds in two games.

GREEN VALLEY — Girls basketball player Maggie Manwarren averaged 16 points and five assists in a three-game span.

LIBERTY — Girls basketball player Paris Strawther had a total of 49 points and 36 rebounds in four victories.

PALO VERDE — Girls basketball player Alyssa Gosz-Siqueiros had a total of 25 points, four assists and seven 3-pointers in wins over Spring Valley and Shadow Ridge.

SILVERADO — Boys basketball player Joe Baldi had 33 points and four assists in a 63-60 overtime win over Rancho. Girls basketball player Jessica Chamberlain was 5-for-8 on 3-pointers and scored 17 points against Rancho.

Coronado girls down Gorman for 5A volleyball region title

The Coronado girls volleyball team swept Bishop Gorman to win the Class 5A Southern Region final Saturday at Palo Verde. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
