The sophomore won three events to lead the Bulldogs to the team championship at the Skyhawk Invitational at Silverado. Gourrier won the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 16.34 seconds. She added wins in the 1,600 (5:07.67) and 3,200 (11:08.16).

HEAD OF THE CLASS

ARBOR VIEW — Boys track athlete Elijah Clark was fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.06 seconds and seventh in the 200 with a mark of 22.22 at the Skyhawk Invitational. Clark also ran on the 800 relay team that finished third and the 400 relay team that placed fifth. Girls track athlete Genevieve Basso was fifth in the 400 at the Skyhawk Invitational with a time of 59.9. She also ran on the winning 1,600 relay team.

BONANZA — Boys volleyball player Robby Adair had a total of 43 kills to lead the Bengals to wins over Centennial and Cimarron-Memorial.

CENTENNIAL — Softball player Lina Barrera was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, a homer, four RBIs and three runs in a 21-9 win over Arbor View. Baseball player Hayden Rosenkrantz went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and threw a four-hitter with eight strikeouts in an 11-2 victory over Arbor View.

CIMARRON-MEMORIAL — Girls track athlete Katie Caldwell set a school record in the 1,600-meter run, finishing third at the Skyhawk Invitational with a time of 5 minutes, 24.19 seconds.

DESERT OASIS — Boys track athlete Zach Wood won the 800-meter run at the Skyhawk Invitational with a time of 1 minute, 55.75 seconds. Girls track athlete Ashle Love finished seventh in the 200 at the Skyhawk Invitational, setting a school record with a time of 25.92.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Boys golfer Jared Ramsay shot 3-under-par 69 to lead the Cruasders to victory in a Sunset League match at Las Vegas Golf Course. Softball catcher Claire Peck was 9-for-15 with two doubles, a homer and four RBIs over five games to help the Crusaders to three victories.

GREEN VALLEY — Baseball player Carter Gehlken was 6-for-8 over three games to help the Gators go 3-0.

LEGACY — Boys swimmer Tamaalelagi Tuitama won the 100-yard butterfly in 53.18 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.06 in a 148-146 win over Bishop Gorman.

MOJAVE — Girls track sprinter Raven Williams placed fourth in the 400-meter dash at the Skyhawk Invitational with a time of 59.45 seconds. Baseball player Otto Hernandez was 8-for-12 for the week to lead the Rattlers to wins over Desert Pines, Sierra Vista and Western.

PALO VERDE — Girls swimmer Kasdyn Rafie won the 100-yard backstroke in 1 minute, 6.16 seconds, and the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.52 to help the Panthers to a 208-96 win over Shadow Ridge. Boys golfer Cameron Meeks shot 4-under-par 68 at Spanish Trail to lead the Panthers to the team title in a Southwest League match.

SIERRA VISTA — Boys track athlete Miles Wilhite won the long jump and the triple jump and ran on the winning 400-meter relay team in a meet with Faith Lutheran, Chaparral and Sunrise Mountain. Girls track athlete Courtney O’Neal won the 100- and 200-meter dashes, finished second in the long jump and ran on the winning 400 relay team in a meet with Faith Lutheran, Chaparral and Sunrise Mountain.

SUNRISE MOUNTAIN — Softball player Andrea Garner threw a no-hitter in a 13-0 victory over Chaparral.

Coronado girls down Gorman for 5A volleyball region title

The Coronado girls volleyball team swept Bishop Gorman to win the Class 5A Southern Region final Saturday at Palo Verde. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
