ARBOR VIEW — Girls soccer player Haley Vicente had a total of five goals and five assists in victories over Desert Oasis, Cimarron-Memorial and Bonanza.

BONANZA — Girls volleyball player Hayley Huntsman averaged 30.8 assists, 9.3 kills, 11.5 digs and 3.5 aces per match in four victories.

BOULDER CITY — Girls golfer Lani Potter took medalist honors in all five Sunrise League matches this season.

CENTENNIAL — Boys tennis player Raul Saucedo went 2-0 in singles to help the Bulldogs to a 14-4 win over Shadow Ridge in the Sunset Region quarterfinals. Girls volleyball player Hannah Hitchcock had 14 assists and 13 digs in a 3-0 victory over Cimarron-Memorial.

DESERT OASIS — Running back Tyeree Johnson rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-14 win over Bonanza.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Girls volleyball player Morgan Hill had a total of 13 kills, two aces, 10 digs and two blocks in league wins over Pahrump Valley and Spring Valley.

GREEN VALLEY — Boys cross country runner Austin Rogers placed second in the junior-senior division of the Falcon Invitational, setting a school record with a time of 16 minutes, 4.3 seconds for 3.1 miles. Girls cross country runner Amy Amezcua was seventh in the freshman-sophomore division of the Falcon Invitational, finishing the 3.1-mile race in 20:47.8.

LIBERTY — Football player Preston Pavlica had eight tackles and a sack in a 54-0 victory over Valley.

THE MEADOWS — Girls cross country runner Ellen Hirsberg won the freshman race at the Frosh/Soph Championships with a time of 16 minutes, 28 seconds for 2.5 miles.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Football player Tyrell Brooks had two interceptions and also caught two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown against The Meadows. Girls volleyball player Mia George had five blocks against The Meadows.

PALO VERDE — Football player Isaac Woods had three tackles, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble and also returned a kickoff 53 yards in a 41-7 win over Shadow Ridge.

QUEST ACADEMY — Football player Chris Cooper had 132 rushing yards, 161 receiving yards and an interception in a 72-46 victory over Westmark (Calif.).

SIERRA VISTA — Boys cross country runner Dylan Batoon was 24th in a cluster meet at Tech with a time of 20 minutes, 46 seconds for 3 miles. Girls soccer player Jasmine Morice had a goal and three assists in a 9-0 victory over Mojave, then moved to goalkeeper for the rest of the week and posted shutouts in victories over Clark and Western. Morice had 10 saves against Clark and five against Western.

SUNRISE MOUNTAIN — Football player Damon Heard, making his first start at quarterback, threw two touchdown passes and intercepted two passes to preserve a 21-20 victory over Rancho as the Miners snapped a 12-game losing streak.

Coronado girls down Gorman for 5A volleyball region title

The Coronado girls volleyball team swept Bishop Gorman to win the Class 5A Southern Region final Saturday at Palo Verde. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
