ARBOR VIEW — Boys basketball player Corey Moore had a total of 33 assists in three victories. Girls basketball player Katrina Nordstrom had 11 points and five assists in a 62-23 win over Spring Valley.

CENTENNIAL — Wrestler Julian Garcia-Whitehead won his 182-pound match by pin in 11 seconds in a 44-23 win over Bishop Gorman. Flag football player Zshalyn Canfield had a 7-yard TD pass in overtime to give the Bulldogs a 27-21 win over Desert Oasis.

CIMARRON-MEMORIAL — Boys basketball player Ja’Don Brown had 16 points and four assists against Centennial. Flag football quarterback Jaimee Luke completed 34 of 61 passes for 463 yards and eight TDs and rushed for 517 yards and four TDs in three games.

DESERT OASIS — Boys basketball player Deric Hammock had a total of 37 points and 11 rebounds in two games. Girls bowler Minjia Yan bowled 60 pins over her average against Arbor View.

ELDORADO — Girls basketball player DeNisheun Jackson had 31 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals against Foothill.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Boys basketball player John Molchon averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds in wins over Pahrump Valley and Cheyenne. Girls basketball player Dani Tharaldson scored 26 points, including 14 in the third quarter, in a 62-36 victory over Pahrump Valley.

GREEN VALLEY — Girls basketball player Ellee Barton had 20 points and seven rebounds in a win over Las Vegas.

LEGACY — Boys basketball player Jacob Rainey averaged 10.5 points in wins over Bonanza and Desert Oasis. Flag football player Shardell Purdy completed 37 of 54 passes for 505 yards and five TDs in three games.

LIBERTY — Girls basketball player Jazmin O’Bannon had a total of 26 points and 20 rebounds in wins over Eldorado and Basic.

PALO VERDE — Boys basketball player Taylor Miller had a total of 20 points, four rebounds, three steals and three assists in two games. Flag football player Taylor Shrader had seven tackles in two games.

SHADOW RIDGE — Flag football player Jaryan Brewer had six tackles and two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, in a 27-6 win over Durango.

SIERRA VISTA — Flag football running back Anye Drummond rushed for three touchdowns and more than 200 yards in two games. Wrestler Noah Slabaugh pinned his opponent at 120 pounds to help the Mountain Lions beat Durango, 47-14.

Coronado girls down Gorman for 5A volleyball region title

The Coronado girls volleyball team swept Bishop Gorman to win the Class 5A Southern Region final Saturday at Palo Verde. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
