The senior guard was named the Most Valuable Player of the Bulldog Invitational in Mesquite. Decker averaged 17 points and seven assists in three wins as the Mustangs claimed the tournament title.

The senior guard had 30 points, 21 rebounds and three steals in a 71-28 win over Sierra Vista, and 23 points and 19 rebounds in a 61-42 victory over Desert Pines.

Cimarron-Memorial

The senior rolled a 289, including 10 consecutive strikes, in a win over Bishop Gorman. Paio finished with a 731 series.

The senior placed first at 126 pounds at the La Costa Canyon Invitational in Carlsbad, Calif., and was named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler.

CENTENNIAL — Wrestler Hunter Brown won his 195-pound match in 56 seconds in a 46-25 win over Arbor View. Flag football player Kianna Sai had two interceptions in a 20-0 win over Western.

CHAPARRAL — Boys basketball player Tyree McNeal had 29 points and 13 rebounds in a 64-59 win over Spring Valley.

CIMARRON-MEMORIAL — Flag football player Jaymee Luke passed for a total of 224 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 341 yards and four TDs in wins over Mojave and Western.

CLARK — Flag football player Stephanie Chavez scored two touchdowns against Bonanza.

DESERT OASIS — Girls basketball player Thessa Fernando averaged 9.5 points in wins over Del Sol and Spring Valley. Boys basketball player Kodi Leslie averaged 11.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the week.

DURANGO — Boys basketball player Darryl Gaynor had a total of 72 points in wins over Mojave and Rancho.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Girls basketball player Alex Wright averaged 11.3 points in three games. Wrestler Owen Lawrie went 5-0 at 126 pounds with two pins and two technical falls at the Mustang Stampede at Shadow Ridge.

FOOTHILL — Girls basketball player Taylor Turney scored 18 points and was 9-for-10 on free throws in a 57-52 win over Skyline (Utah).

GREEN VALLEY — Girls basketball player Maggie Manwarren averaged 15 points, three assists and three steals in three games.

LIBERTY — Girls basketball player Kealy Brown had a total of 32 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in three games.

THE MEADOWS — Girls basketball player Anjali Daulat had a total of 27 points in wins over Beatty and Adelson School.

PALO VERDE — Boys bowler Kyle Dammeir had a 620 series against Sierra Vista and a 615 series against Spring Valley.

SIERRA VISTA — Boys basketball player Mikko Balmes averaged 19.3 points in leading the Mountain Lions to a 2-1 record for the week. Girls flag football player Jeri Lett accounted for eight touchdowns in three games and topped 100 yards in rushing, passing and receiving against Green Valley.

SILVERADO — Boys basketball player Isaiah Glover averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Skyhawks to wins over Tech, Bonanza and Basic. Girls bowler Michelle Matsumoto rolled a 278 game in a win over Las Vegas.

Coronado girls down Gorman for 5A volleyball region title

The Coronado girls volleyball team swept Bishop Gorman to win the Class 5A Southern Region final Saturday at Palo Verde. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
