The senior posted the best time of the day at the regional meets at Veterans' Memorial Park in Boulder City, winning the 3.1-mile Sunrise Region race in 16 minutes, 33 seconds. The Gators also claimed the team title with 26 points.

The junior finished first in the Sunset Region meet, covering the 3.1-mile course in 20 minutes, 1 second.

HEAD OF THE CLASS
BONANZA — Girls cross country runner Esmeralda Hinojos placed 17th at the Sunset Region meet with a time of 21:45 for 3.1 miles to qualify for state.
CORONADO — Girls cross country runner Danielle Green placed third in the Sunrise Region meet with a time of 21:19 for 3.1 miles.
DESERT OASIS — Boys cross country runner Enrique Jimenez placed eighth in the Sunset Region meet with a time of 17:40 for 3.1 miles. Girls soccer player Cassie Robinson scored off a corner kick in a 3-1 win over Bonanza.
FAITH LUTHERAN — Girls cross country runner Kendall Larson placed sixth at the Division I-A Southern Region meet, covering 3.1 miles in 22 minutes, 22 seconds and leading the Crusaders to the team title. Boys cross country runner Jack Williams was 12th at the Division I-A Southern Region meet with a time of 18:44.
GREEN VALLEY — Girls cross country runner Mia Smith won the Sunrise Region meet with a time of 20 minutes, 47 seconds for 3.1 miles, and led the Gators to the team championship with 35 points.
LEGACY — Running back Naim Geeslin rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-7 victory over Shadow Ridge.
MOJAVE — Girls soccer player Joanna Lerma scored her first career goal against Spring Valley.
PALO VERDE — Boys cross country runner Daniel Ziems won the Sunset Region meet, covering the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes, 21 seconds.
SIERRA VISTA — Girls volleyball player Bridgette Levi had a total of 14 kills, 15 digs and five aces in wins over Western and Spring Valley. Football player Lopaka Kolone had 11 tackles, including three tackles for loss, and a pass breakup against Moapa Valley.
