Outlook: Coming off their first Class 3A state title since 2000, the Pirates have had to do very little rebuilding.

In fact, Jenkins and Weiss have a combined seven years of starting experience in the backfield alone. Seventeen of the team’s 38 players are returning lettermen.

With a nonleague schedule that includes 2007 playoff teams as Moapa Valley’s first four opponents, it will be easy to get a clear picture of how strong the Pirates are early.
