Two games into its defense of its Class 1A state title, Tonopah already has more losses than it suffered last season.
The Muckers fell 38-20 at Diamond Ranch (Utah) on Friday, dropping to 0-2 on the season. That's already twice the amount of losses they were handed during 2007's 11-1 campaign.
Tonopah quarterback Scott Thibodeaux completed 8 of 16 passes for 109 yards and one touchdown and carried 16 times for 208 yards and two scores. He scored on runs of 5 and 80 yards.
Jeff Blackburn (three receptions for 54 yards) and Denver Ottdson (three catches, 45 yards, one TD) led the Muckers in receiving.
