Top athletes: Sam Mahar (Jr.), Anthony Arroyo (Sr.), Brant Browning (Sr.), Trevis Hightower (Sr.), Zach Kistinger (Sr.), Jon Clark (Jr.), Nick Springston (Jr.), Derek Gibson (Jr.)

Outlook: The Mustangs were second at the Sunset regional last year and went to state. They are almost a lock to make it again, especially since three teams from each region go to state this year.

"Of all the teams I have coached, in Nevada and Arizona, this one shows the most commitment," coach Patrick Fitzgerald said. "I'm excited about this year."

Among the team's leaders will be Mahar, who was 18th in the state in 2007.
