Returning lettermen (starters): Six (one)

Top players: P/OF Jackson Cofer (Sr.), IF Tanner Bellamy (Sr.), IF Derek Clelan (Sr.), P Adam Garcia (So.)

Outlook: The defending state champions lost a ton to graduation and have just one returning starter.

Cofer, a Utah Valley signee, went 7-1 with a 1.88 ERA and hit .276 last year, and Padilla expects him to be one of the team’s leaders. Bellamy hit .313.

“This year’s team is young but talented,” Padilla said. “We will face many challenges in our own league with Liberty, Basic and Foothill all much improved.
