BASEBALL: Boulder City scores four runs in eighth inning to beat Sierra Vista

Boulder City scored four runs on just one hit in the top of the eighth inning Monday and the Eagles held off host Sierra Vista, 9-6.
Kodey Rahr led off the inning with a single. Boulder City was helped by two hit batters, an intentional walk and an error in the inning.
Peyton Koopman was 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs for the Eagles. Rahr went 2-for-4 with a run for Boulder City.
Kaven Alferez went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI to lead Sierra Vista. Davion Hollis was 2-for-3 with a double and a run, and Ryan Carroll and Blake Kaplan each drove in two runs for the Mountain Lions.
Bishop Gorman 17, Palo Verde 14 — At Palo Verde, Beau Capanna homered and drove in four runs as the Gaels outslugged the Panthers.
Nick Hernandez added a three-run homer, and Jordan Sadovia was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Gorman. Austin Wells added two hits and four runs for the Gaels, who led 17-7 entering the bottom of the seventh.
Palo Verde sent 10 batters to the plate in the seventh, and Cobi Fiechtner’s grand slam cut the lead to 17-14.
A single and a hit batter brought the tying run to the plate, but Hernandez relieved and got Sam Powers to ground back to the mound to end the game.
Powers was 3-for-4 with four RBIs for the Panthers. His two-run homer started the seventh-inning rally.
Fiechtner was 2-for-5 with three runs and five RBIs, and Ryan Merino doubled twice and scored two runs for Palo Verde.
Green Valley 8, Liberty 3 — At Liberty, A.J. Amelburu was 3-for-3 with a double and three runs to lead the Gators over the Patriots.
Frankie Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Green Valley, which scored four runs in the fifth to take a 6-1 lead. Fitzgerald allowed a run on five hits in four innings to get the win.
Liberty’s Jacob Rogers went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run, and Michael Wong was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Patriots.
Foothill 5, Coronado 2 — At Foothill, Tyler Kara’s two-run triple in the bottom of the fifth gave the Falcons the lead as they knocked off the Cougars.
Coronado led 1-0 before Kara’s triple. He came home on a groundout by Trentin Price to make it 3-1.
The Falcons added two insurance runs in the sixth.
Kelton Lachelt allowed two runs on four hits in six innings to get the win, and Kelton McCall went 2-for-3 with a double for Foothill.
Jake McLean had two hits for Coronado.
Rancho 13, Valley 0 — At Valley, Daniel Abina and Anthony Munoz combined on a no-hitter as the Rams defeated the Vikings in five innings.
Abina struck out six and walked one in three innings to get the win. Munoz had three strikeouts and one walk in two hitless innings of relief.
Miguel Elicerio went 2-for-2 with a double and three runs, and Anthony Guzman was 1-for-2 with a double and four RBIs for Rancho.
Del Sol 11, Legacy 8 — At Legacy, the Dragons scored eight runs on just three hits in the top of the seventh inning to rally past the Longhorns.
Aaron Squires was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Stanley Natale went 2-for-3 with two runs for Del Sol, which took advantage of four walks and two hit batters in its seventh-inning rally. Brady Walton was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI for Del Sol.
Anthony Lomeli was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, two runs and an RBI for Legacy. Willie Valdez-Grijalva went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and teammate Alex Tadd was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI for the Longhorns.
Clark 15, Desert Pines 4 — At Clark, Miguel Carillo was 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI to lead the Chargers to the five-inning victory over the Jaguars.
Matthew Thompson was 2-for-2 with a double and three runs, and Brendan Palmer went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Clark, which scored seven runs in the third inning to break a 4-4 tie.
Matthias Blodgett went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Clark.
Basic 8, Canyon Springs 0 — At Basic, Ryne Nelson went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBIs to power the Wolves over the Pioneers.
David Huddleson was 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI for Basic, which scored five runs in the second inning.
C.J. Dornak allowed three hits in five innings to get the win. He struck out four and walked one.
Montana Gomez pitched two hitless innings of relief to complete the shutout.
Silverado 11, Eldorado 1 — At Silverado, Chase Cortez was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBIs, and the Skyhawks scored five runs in the bottom of the first and rolled to a six-inning victory over the Sundevils.
Kevin Pindel was 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs, and teammate Dax Fellows went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs for Silverado.
Bonanza 16, Spring Valley 6 — At Spring Valley, Jay DeSoto went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs, and the Bengals used an eight-run fourth to top the Grizzlies in six innings.
Levi Klump was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Hilario Gomez-Soto drove in four runs for Bonanza, which also got a double from winning pitcher Torren Brozovich.
Jaxson Otis and Antony Vazquez each hit a triple, and Bryce Bullock doubled for Spring Valley. The Grizzlies used seven pitchers and finished with six errors.
Moapa Valley 11, Tech 1 — At Overton, Daxton Longman went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to help the Pirates to the five-inning win over the Roadrunners.
Bo Redd added a double and two RBIs for Moapa Valley, which scored nine runs in the fourth inning.
Koby Frie threw a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and four walks to get the win.
Chaparral vs. Agassi Prep — At Agassi Prep, the Cowboys defeated the host Stars by forfeit.
