BASEBALL: Brooks homers twice, leads Palo Verde by Cimarron

J.D. Brooks went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs Tuesday to help Palo Verde’s baseball team to a 4-1 win at Cimarron-Memorial.
Blake Porter was 2-for-4 with a triple for the Panthers.
Tallon Thomason tossed a five-hitter and struck out five for the Panthers.
Bishop Gorman 4, Centennial 2 — At Centennial, Austin Wells was 1-for-4 with two RBIs, and the Gaels scored single runs in the fifth and sixth innings to nip the Bulldogs.
Miles Denson was 2-for-4 with a double for Gorman. Brian Coffey threw 2 2/3 innings of one-hit relief and struck out five for the Gaels.
Jake Rogers was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Centennial.
Shadow Ridge 8, Bonanza 2 — At Bonanza, winning pitcher Isaiah Blaylock went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs and threw six scoreless innings as the Mustangs topped the Bengals.
Trevin Reynolds went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs for Shadow Ridge.
Chris Dunn was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Bonanza.
Faith Lutheran 13, Clark 5 — At Faith Lutheran, Nate McLauren was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and the Crusaders scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth to pull away en route to the win over the Chargers.
Zack Trageton and Sagan Gronauer each added two hits for the Crusaders.
Matthew Thompson homered and doubled to lead Clark.
Spring Valley 10, Mojave 0 — At Spring Valley, Nick Rupp tossed a six-inning no-hitter and struck out 10 as the Grizzlies topped the Rattlers.
Jake Sellinger went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Humberto Maldonado was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Spring Valley, which got a double and two RBIs from Bryce Bullock.
Sierra Vista 11, Cheyenne 1 — At Sierra Vista, Ryan Carroll was 3-for-4 with a double as the Mountain Lions topped the Desert Shields in six innings.
Hunter Wood was 2-for-4 with a triple, and Jhared Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with a double for Sierra Vista.
Desert Oasis 12, Durango 1 — At Durango, Bryson Stott went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, a double and six RBIs as the Diamondbacks routed the Trailblazers.
Nic Lane went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, and Aaron Roberts was 2-for-3 with a double for Desert Oasis.
Ryley Toole tossed a six-hitter for Desert Oasis.
Richard Mascarenas was 2-for-3 for Durango.
Pahrump Valley 12, Western 1 — At Western, Josh Ferrer fired a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and two walks as the Trojans defeated the Warriors.
Shelton Cajudoy belted a leadoff home run to start a seven-run second inning for Pahrump. Parker Hart went 3-for-5 for the Trojans.
Arbor View 15, Legacy 4 — At Legacy, Nick Quintana went 3-for-3 with two home runs, four RBIs and four runs scored as the Aggies downed the Longhorns in six innings.
Trevor Jackson was 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs, and Parker McHale was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and four runs for Arbor View, which trailed 4-3 after three innings.
Forrest Grevelis homered and drove in three runs for Legacy.
Foothill 22, Valley 1 — At Valley, Kelton Lachelt went 3-for-3 with a double, and the Falcons scored 12 runs in the top of the fifth en route to the easy win.
Dominic Ranieri was 3-for-4 with a double for Foothill, which had 19 hits.
Sunrise Mountain 23, Indian Springs 10 — At Sunrise Mountain, Donovan Hansen was 4-for-5 with four runs as the Miners routed the Thunderbirds in five innings.
Daltyn Pytrysson went 3-for-5 with four runs for Sunrise Mountain.
Devon Sickler and Ryan Frank each supplied three hits to lead Indian Springs.
Lake Mead 18, Laughlin 6 — At Laughlin, Joseph Johnson had two hits and four RBIs to help the Eagles top the Cougars.
Jared Regan added two hits and two RBIs for Lake Mead.
Winning pitcher Brock Ramsay struck out 12.
