BASEBALL: Silverado shuts out Coronado

Sam Pope and Kevin Pindel combined on a four-hitter Monday as Silverado’s baseball team beat visiting Coronado, 3-0.
Pope allowed two hits and struck out three in four innings to get the win. Pindel struck out three in three innings of relief to earn a save.
Payton Ballard was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI for the Skyhawks, which scored two runs in the bottom of the first. Caleb Hubbard went 2-for-3 with a double and a run, and Sean Graves had a double and an RBI for Silverado.
Basic 11, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Jack Wold was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Wolves over the Patriots.
Roger Riley went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs, and Christian Rivero was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for Basic.
Paul Myro went 2-for-2 with two runs for the Wolves.
Kaeden Camat-Toki was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Liberty. James Katona went 2-for-3 with a double and and a run for the Patriots.
Rancho 7, Valley 3 — At Valley, winning pitcher Anthony Guzman went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI to lead the Rams past the Vikings.
Guzman allowed two hits over five innings and struck out 10.
Jimmy Gamboa was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Rancho, which led 5-0 after five innings.
Jose Marquez went 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead Valley.
Durango 11, Clark 7 — At Durango, Justin Lucas went 2-for-2 with a home run, five RBIs and scored two runs to lead the Trailblazers past the Chargers.
Richard Mascarenas was 3-for-5 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored for Durango, which scored four runs in the first and fifth innings.
Boulder City 10, Del Sol 0 — At Boulder City, Jacob Hubel and Noah Higgins combined on a three-hitter as the Eagles defeated the Dragons in six innings.
Hubel allowed all three hits and struck out two in five innings to get the win. Higgins struck out two of the three batters he faced in the sixth.
Teddy Lobkowicz went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run for Boulder City. D.J. Reese was 2-for-2 with a a double, a triple, three RBIs and a run, and Kodey Rahr went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for the Eagles.
Del Sol’s Gelkis Digurnay was 2-for-2.
Chaparral 10, Virgin Valley 0 — At Chaparral, Erick Villarreal pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk as the Cowboys routed the Bulldogs in six innings.
James Cobian and Talon Green each went 3-for-3 with two RBIs for Chaparral, and teammate Thomas Pablo was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Connor Jarvis added two hits for the Cowboys.
Foothill 12, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Kelton Lachelt and Parker Cole each went 4-for-4 with a double and a triple to help the Falcons to the six-inning victory.
Lachelt had four RBIs and a run, and Cole had two runs and two RBIs.
Ben Gonzalez went the distance, allowing five hits and striking out four to get the win.
Canyon Springs’ Giovani Benuto was 2-for-2, and Sebastian Sotelo hit a solo home run for the Pioneers.
Las Vegas 15, Eldorado 0 — At Las Vegas, Diego Delgado fired a one-hitter and went 3-for-3 to help the Wildcats to the four-inning win over the Sundevils.
Delgado struck out eight and had a triple and three RBIs.
Nathan Freimuth and Tanner Chauncey each added a double for Las Vegas.
Pahrump Valley 11, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Pahrump, Parker Hart went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Trojans in a rout of the Miners.
Cyle Havel went 3-for-3 with a double and a RBI for Pahrump, which scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game by the mercy rule.
Josh Ferrer allowed one run on three hits and fanned seven to pick up the win.
Earl Garrett doubled to lead the Miners.
Moapa Valley 14, Tech 4 — At Overton, Dayton Wolfley hit a two-run home run, and Chase Hadley threw a four-hitter to help the Pirates defeat the Roadrunners in six innings.
Daxton Longman and Drake Staheli each doubled for Moapa Valley, which trailed 3-1 after two innings.
Pahranagat Valley 16, Western 2 — At Western, Tabor Maxwell threw a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts to lead the Panthers to the six-inning win over the Warriors.
Maxwell also went 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Asher Haworth was 2-for-3 for the Panthers.
Indian Springs 20, Lake Mead 10 — At Indian Springs, Devon Sickler was 2-for-2 with five runs and three RBIs as the Thunderbirds beat the Eagles in five innings.
Philip Reimer was 2-for-2 with a triple, four runs and three RBIs, and Zach Williams went 2-for-4 with four runs for Indian Springs.
Ryan Kennedy went 2-for-4 with two runs for Lake Mead.
Laughlin JV 15-1, GV Christian 0-2 — At Laughlin, the Eagles split a doubleheader with the Cougars’ junior varsity.
