BASEBALL: Wolves’ Ryan throws five-inning perfect game against Valley

Ethan Ryan threw a five-inning perfect game Monday to lead Basic’s baseball team to a 10-0 road victory over Valley.
Ryan struck out nine.
David Hudleson went 2-for-3 with a double, a RBI and two runs scored to lead the Basic offense. Christian Rivero went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Roger Riley went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for the Wolves.
Silverado 9, Liberty 7 — At Silverado, Kevin Pindel’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning snapped a 7-7 tie as the Skyhawks held off the Patriots.
Payton Ballard tripled with one out and eventually scored on Pindel’s sac fly. James Skelly doubled and drove in an insurance run for Silverado.
Alex Grafiada, who got the last two outs in the top of the sixth inning to end a Liberty rally, also pitched a scoreless seventh to get the win.
Chase Cortez doubled, drove in two runs and scored two runs, and Michael Camburn doubled and drove in two runs for the Skyhawks.
Omar Ortiz tripled for Liberty.
Coronado 7, Rancho 2 — At Coronado, Landen Rowland had two doubles and hit a solo home run to lead the Cougars past the Rams.
Christian Sanford allowed an unearned run on three hits in six innings for the win. Sanford struck out seven with one walk.
Hunter Goeken had a triple and two RBIs, and Noah Hemphill notched a double and two RBIs for Coronado.
Angel Walker had a triple for Rancho.
Las Vegas 5, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Noel Perez needed just 60 pitches to throw a three-hitter as the Wildcats beat the Pioneers.
Antonio Gaxiola went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored, and teammate Diego Delgado also doubled for Las Vegas.
Johnny Flores had a double for Canyon Springs.
Tech 3, Chaparral 0 — At Tech, Alexis Acosta threw a four-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks to lead the Roadrunners over the Cowboys.
Trevor Kephart singled home a run in the first inning for Tech.
Del Sol 6, Virgin Valley 5 — At Mesquite, Stanley Natale came home on a passed ball for the winning run in the sixth inning as the Dragons defeated the Bulldogs.
With two out, Natale hit a double then moved to third on a single by Isaiah Salazar.
Natale came on to pitch in the first inning and earned the win after starter Christian Wallace left with an injury. Aaron Squires pitched the final 1 1/3 innings to get the save.
Zach Trujillo drove in two runs for Del Sol.
Desert Pines 8, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Desert Pines, Silverio Milian’s leadoff triple in the bottom of the fifth inning sparked a six-run rally as the Jaguars came back to down the Miners.
Milian went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, RBI and a run for the Jaguars, who trailed 6-2 heading to the fifth.
Juan Casteneda picked up the win in relief for Desert Pines. Casteneda did not allow a hit and struck out seven over the final three innings.
Green Valley 10, Foothill 1 — At Green Valley, Frankie Fitzgerald threw a four-hitter to lead the Gators over the Falcons.
Fitzgerald allowed an unearned run and struck out five with no walks.
Jimmy Montiel was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, and A.J. Amelburu went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBIs for Green Valley. Austin Primack and Carter Gehlken each added two hits for the Gators, and teammate Drake Maningo had a two-run home run.
Kelton Lachelt was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Foothill.
Boulder City 11, Moapa Valley 1 — At Boulder City, Peyton Koopman went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs and pitched a three-hitter to lead the Eagles to a six-inning win over the Pirates.
Koopman struck out eight and walked three.
Nolan DeSantis went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, three RBIs and two runs for Boulder City, which led 7-0 after two innings.
Kodey Rahr added two RBIs for the Eagles.
Moapa Valley’s Anthony Cornwall had a double and an RBI.
